“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world.
Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.”

AAIA Whitby Run/Walk 2008
Volunteers Are Angels
For the past five years, AAIA Ontario has hosted the Triple “A” Run/Walk to raise funds for allergy, asthma and anaphylaxis research and education. In total the event has raised $65,000 for the Canadian Allergy, Asthma and Immunology Foundation (CAAIF). This year's event raised $15,000, which will be presented to CAAIF at the CSACI Annual Meeting in Hamilton this fall.

| Waiting to start |
An event of this magnitude is possible due to the dedication of our corporate sponsors and numerous volunteers. The volunteers contribute their time, energy and passion on a yearly basis and ensure that all details are attended to and that everyone involved enjoys the event and benefits from the experience. I would like to recognize some of our main stars who have been with us over the years: Anita Bergstrom, Richard Mototsune, Darlene & Andy Konecny, Kyle Dine, Masa Kovic, Carol Sleeth, Debbie Monroe-Fessler, Sherri Raso, Theresa Fulton, Andrea Faloony, and Maria Cristina Blanchard. My list could continue, but I trust that everyone knows how much they are appreciated and loved for the tireless work they do. My appreciation for everyone who makes this event a success each year is monumental and I have gained and grown tremendously from working with you. With any luck the funds raised over the years will bring a cure and/or new treatment options for those living with allergies, asthma and anaphylaxis. Until then, we are blessed with heightened awareness and a community of caring individuals who give for the benefit of all.
